 | Sunday July 13, 2008 So.... here I am in New York City. I have only been here for one month, but it seems as if I have been here for at least three or four. Time goes by so quickly up here... Sometimes I get so caught up in my busy lifestyle that I forget to slow down, enjoy life, and thank God for all He is doing. I have experienced things that have really helped me and have made my day a little brighter. Every time I go out into the city, I always run into this group of younger children singing inspirational hymns in beautiful harmony. They always have a smile on their face, and they always seem to be so content just singing on the sidewalks of Time Square, in front of the Met, in the subways, or maybe in one of the other many places I run into them. Their songs inspire me. They make me slow down and stop to smell the roses... or maybe the rancid smell of the sewers backing up! Either way, it makes me think about life and how lucky I am to be in New York City, at age 18, pursing a career in the performing arts. That is all for now. Who knows what life will bring..... |
